who we are

Tamarack is a multimedia production company with expertise in documentary production, environmental education, web design, advocacy, and writing for general audiences. We help you deliver your message in a way that not only demands the attention of traditional supporters of environmental causes, but also finds new audiences. Tamarack is committed to helping our clients serve communities typically underrepresented in the environmental movement.

mission

The mission of Tamarack Media is to raise environmental awareness through the production of innovative media and to help environmental organizations, businesses, and schools communicate their messages more effectively to new audiences.

mascot

The tamarack (Larix laricina) is a member of the pine family. While it looks like a typical evergreen, it has one notable exception: it is a deciduous conifer, shedding its needles each autumn after they turn from green to gold. This tree was chosen for the organization's name because its range extends from Alaska to Vermont, the home states of the co-founders of Tamarack Media.
